1-3" Lift

Hello All,

After several trips up north, I'm starting to get some wear on my OEM Goodyear Wranger Trailrunner AT's and looking to upgrade. I haven't been a huge fan of these tires but wanted to get some wear on them before replacing. I will be keeping my original 20" OEM wheels on my 2022 Sierra 2500HD crew cab, the current tire size is LT275/65R20 with a overall outside diameter of 34.09". I want to run at least a 35" x 11.5" and was leaning toward the Toyo Open Country AT/3. On my last truck, I replaced the torsion keys, added shock extensions and adjusted front ride height to a 2.00" rake between the front and rear, it was originally around 4.00". However, utilizing that setup the ride quality was not good and very harsh, I paid attention to the clearance in bwtween the bottom of the upper control arm and the frame bump stop, I was able to get two (2) fingers in between.

On the next setup, I would like to invest in an lift or levelling kit that includes upper control arms, hopefully keeping or improving ride quality, I also will be upgrading my Rancho shocks to Bilstein 5100's. The issue I'm running into is upgrading to aftermarket upper control arms and utilizing OEM wheels, the clearance between the upper ball joint and the wheel itself. What set-ups are others utilizing and does anyone else know what manufacturer upper control arms can be utilizing with stock OEM wheels? I like the Kryptonite with the bolt in over the counter ball joints, some of the other manufacturers you have to utilize their own ball joints with are pressed in like the OEM. If you'd like a factory 1.5" lift, join us over in crazy world at the ZR2 suspension threads. Not much of a lift for all the parts and how fun it's going to be to install, but guaranteed to be factory tested perfect for this platform on 35x12s.
