2017 Apple Carplay

Recommended Posts

I have a 2017 Silverado and can’t get Apple car play to connect. I have a I0B radio so it’s compatible with Apple Car play. When I connect with a certified Apple Lightning Cable……the phone just shows up as a IPod. I hit the projection button and it’s says connect a supported device to the USB. I have a IPhone 13 Pro Max

Some things to try:

- Unplug EVERYTHING ELSE that is currently in a USB port so that the phone is the only item plugged in

- Try a different USB port in the truck

- Try a different cable

- Try a different iPhone

- Make sure the iOS is fully updated on your iPhone

- Unpair the phone from the truck, and the truck from the phone. Restart the phone. Leave the truck, close and lock the door, wait five minutes, return to the truck. DO NOT PAIR THE PHONE but connect via cable to see if it will launch the CarPlay setup process.
