No display after ON Star canceled My Chevrolet APP

Recommended Posts

Argh! We're going on an extended trip for winter, so I cancelled My Chev app. Now display wont open, no Apple play, no radio. It just says "Device is starting...."  Called On Star 3 times and removed phone, re did password, re set....still no display after a week. Just want maps to work for one week but now we have nothin. Numerous issues with radio and warning lights, crash detection, parking brake. I just put up with them as dealer said my truck was not eligible for updates and did not exhibit symptoms while there. It's a safety hazard now, fiddling with dash while driving...no display, brakes stay on when you try to leave. I will take GM to small claims court to recover money spent on APP, safety issues, no starts. Complain to transport Canada,  Then trade this POS in for a Mazda SUV.  7 Mazda's in family, no issues ever in last 25 years. Gotta stick with Quality

2 hours on the phone, yalked with a dozen different people...no help. I have to bring it to dealer.  There are so many people to talk with each time you call ON Star. Each time you tell them you're issues, they pass you to another person. So much staff online, but no one can actually help. They could fix this if I start paying $17 each month again. I bought a truck with Apple play, but I cant use it without paying each month?  We have the right to use our vehicle without PIN codes each time, or paying extra money per month. We should be able to simply take off from a parking spot without having to "gun it" because parking brake holds us back. We should be able to permanently cancel "auto off" without pushing that ****in button each time. Of course the dealer is booked up a month in advance so this will go in while i'm gone. I'll have all TSB;s taken care of, then trade in  You can always get anyone to answer the GM phone lines, but no one has any technical capabilities. I feel bad for them...stuck fielding calls from upset customers. Too many Issues beyond their control.  For me, That's just the electronic side....many people here with transmission or engine failures. Look at all these  issues..I'm shocked at what other's are going through with these trucks. I'm lucky it's not major components leaving us stranded on road. No use complaining any more, just get rid of it and buy Mazda.
