PML front differential cover with magnetic drain plug

Recommended Posts

PML, who has a nice transmission pan and rear diff cover with magnetic drain plug is looking into making a front diff cover for our trucks.

Says on the page the design is complete, their just looking for interest. You can do so by joining the mailing list I guess. Let's get this cover made. I don't know of any other front diff cover with drain plug for our trucks (post below if you do). Even so, it would be nice to have all covers from one source for OCD purposes. Cheers.

Looks like the PR campaign worked. Before I deleted my Facebook I blasted it in those groups too. Got a PM response back on messenger saying the interest was pouring in. That was weeks ago. Now today I get an email and it looks like this project is a go. If you signed up to the list, check your email or if you haven't sign up at the link in the first post. If this goes to plan we'll have available a matching set of front diff/trans/rear diff covers with drain plugs for all T1 HDs regardless of Gas 6, 10 speed, or diesel.

Cheers.

I received the email, but was confused by the question if my diffs looked like the 2015.

My trucks are in snow. No way in hell I'm crawling underneath to see. The 2500 front end, I am sure, is slam packed full of snow.

Thanks for blasting this out there on social media. I hope this front diff cover becomes reality.

I love social media. Back in my day I had to insult people one at a time.

I sent them pics of mine and warned them of the low clearance to the front skid and said I could take measurements if needed.

Not sure about the 2015 thing either as on that link page they show pics of the correct front cover, part number and all 84756922. According to parts.gm (the official parts site), it's the correct cover for 2020-2024 T1 HDs. It might be the same cover for 2015 or they are wondering because that's the shop truck they have to measure and perhaps the part # hasn't changed in years.
