Used 2022 (old style) Denali Loaded with low miles or New 2023 Silverado RST for same money

One consideration - do you want to mod it? Just watching the chatter the electrical mods for 22 are figured out (e.g. WAMS, Gen5Y and Pulsar) and seems like things are still being worked out for the '23 arch

I would still go new but just a thought

Go new, that way you know what you're getting as I would wonder why a 2022 is sitting on the lot being that new did the previous owner have nothing but issues with it and wanted to unload it? Like I said go new your getting a full factory warranty and you know what you got.

Many times you hear about people dumping their new vehicle because it was nothing but issues.

2022 with 25k could have been a 2 year lease, or a lease turned in early... Hard to know for certain sometimes.

console shifter feels natural to me after driving sporty cars and Jeep Grand Cherokees for 20 years, they all had center console shifter.

So back to the trucks?

If only it worked more like traditional floor / console automatic transmission shifters...

Another question on the used one is did it have the lifter failure(s)? Seen numerous people on here have the issue then immediately dump the truck once it's fixed.

Great point!  I believe before I would go used on this purchase that I would at least have a dealer pull up the service history on the VIN and see if there was anything that stood out.  Personally I'd opt for the Chevy, but overall  I typically lean towards the bowtie.

I had a 19 Denali and now a 22 refreshed. The new one is better in most regards. Not a fan of the shifter, but it's not a big deal to me. The layout of the interior, quality of materials is much improved. I would go with the new Chevy.

And this is my exact gripe as I mentioned... From Park, pushing forward to go backwards is anything BUT natural. Every car and SUV I've owner for the last 20+ years had a console shifter and NONE of them worked like this.

there are a crapload of 2020-2021 loaded denali trucks around me, all with around 20-30k miles, for $50k.  All back off lease hitting the dealer lots.

Love the refreshed dash and LOVE the new shifter......takes a little bit to get used to but once you do, its so nice IMHO.

The old column shifter was something from the 90's IMHO......about time it's refreshed and upgraded.

Night and day difference from the old design (I had a 2020 RST and now have a 2023 High Country).

New vs old.....NO-Brainer....

Why purchase someone else's used truck when you can get a brand new redesign for the same price.

thanks for the feedback everyone.  Ended up splurging and getting a 2024 Denali 1500 - Black, 5.3L, w/Reserve package.  Its beautiful.  Way more truck than I need but with GM employee discount, the price came down $7k and then there was another $7k off in rebates... dealer offered me $1k over blue book on my trade...  I couldn't say no.
