Now HATE GM
I have a 2017 Silverado crew cab. Just a note, you replace one actuator and then about 10-21 days later another actuator starts not working until stops working completely which takes about 6 weeks. This all started with about 33,000 mile. Took in dealership for warranty repair for the first two that stop working on drivers side. Then both passenger side actuators went out one at time. Order of replacement: First round: Drivers side back door actuator replaced with the same part number. Drivers side front door actuator replaced with the same part number. Passenger side front door actuator replaced with same part number. Passenger side back door actuator replace with same part number. Second round: Drivers side back door actuator replaced with NEW part number. Driver side front door actuator replaced with NEW part number. Passenger side back door actuator replaced with NEW part number. Passenger side front door actuator replaced with NEW part number. Third round: Now the drivers side back door actuator is going out again. I only get 1 year or 12,000 mile warranty the dealership. The parts go out just past a year. I do not drive much. As of this I only have 58,000 miles. I have own nothing but Chevy Silverado's. This not the only problems I have with this piece of crap truck. The dealership charge a vehicle diagnoses that only 10 minutes and replace the parts. Chevrolet has done nothing. I cannot keep spending money replacing the same parts over and over and over. I am starting to believe it is electrical or computer problem! NOT HAPPY
rav3
Help clarify to this old man, are you talking about the door lock actuator? or some other actuator?

It would make me think there's a separate issue going on. I haven't heard of this from any chevy owner on the forums or YouTube. Wish I had a fix for you. And are you sure the actuators have gone bad? Have you tried applying external 12v power to see if they work? I had 1 actuator go bad on mine a few years ago, got it replaced, and no issues since. I can see 1 of the actuators possibly going bad but all and multiple times seems odd.

Now HATE GM
The dealership had to do diagnostics 6 times before work was done and that took 15 minutes, Because they was there process of doing things and another way make money. I have enough with that dealership because they said they do not know the problems and refuse to repair there work. The 2 last were done at the same time by local repair shop that has multiple shops does honest and quality work. They did a diagnostic and it took them 75 minutes to run the diagnostic. I also have a problem with information screens on the dash. (small one in middle behind the steering wheel and the big one in the center). Sometimes just starts changing and beeping randomly no one is touch them.

This makes it sound even more likely that you have an underlying electrical issue that is causing damage to the actuators and they are failing.
diyer2
Doing the same thing repeatedly will not fix the problem. Take it to an electrical shop.
