285/75-18 on stock wheels

Recommended Posts

Yes, I am aware that a leveling kit is not needed for this size.  My truck will be leveled however because I do not like the factory look with the downward rake.  Just trying to see if this particular size appears too small on the truck once it is leveled.

My past trucks have had 37s on factory wheels with a 3in suspension kit, which included a 1.5” rear block.

I did not get them yet.  I found a photo of a leveled truck that has that size.  Keep in mind there was a 2” block put on the rear which is why it looks a bit too tall for the tire size in the back.

Those tires look good. That’s basically my truck. I thought most tire shops won’t put on non factory tires? Is that true? How do you guys get them mounted?

They (Discount Tire for example) won’t put on tires that the tire manufacturer has deemed to be too wide for the factory wheel, and this particular size works well and is approved for the factory wheel width.  They also sometimes refuse to mount tires that have a max load rating that is lower than what the truck came with, again, should not apply to this size.
