Day time running light recall issue

So I got a letter a few months ago about this recall.  I took it to the dealership, they reprogrammed the BCM (took over an 1hr). Then about 1.5 months later the truck prompted the update, but I'm in a no signal area and it failed and it says call dealer. Today I took it in and the reprogram BCM again, more than a 1hr again . The truck still says it's not done and shows the recall on the My Chevy app.

Anyone had this same issue?

Apparently someone is supposed to send the conformation to Onstar about the recalls being completed.  My confirmation hasn't been sent and that's why it still shows in the app.  I'm guessing the service folks didn't know that or they would not have done the BCM reprogram a 2nd time?

What? Wait a minute! The GM daytime running lights are supposed to work? Both at the same time? I thought that was a signature item. Like the rattling steering column from the 2000 decade. Kinda like the popping out spark plugs from ford about the same time. And injectors tips blowing in the Ram diesel’s during the same period.

The truck has a displayable record of the updates that you can check.  (at least the recent ones)

It's in the menus on the centre screen.

I got the recall notice in the main a week or so ago.

Checking the truck verified it was already done -- about 8 weeks ago.

My truck had 4 different updates in about 10 days at the end of August.

Two were on the same day.

None since.

The My Chevy App is the one I was looking at ,apparently it's only updated by someone at the dealership sending Onstar the information.

The other place in the settings didn't show either of the BCM reprogramming.  It does show the infotainment updates.

They were on the app on my phone too, with update number, date installed and brief description of the change.

They seem to be forever messing with the app (or something is wrong with how it is programmed.

At the time of the updates, they showed up on phone app.

Then, for about a month the phone wouldn't show the update history.

As I'm typing, I just checked the phone again -- and it is again showing update info, like it was in early September.

Press where it says 'vehicle status' on front screen.

Scroll to bottom of page the comes up.

Press where it says "Vehicle updates' - 'your vehicle is up to date'

Next page also says 'Your vehicle is up to date'  (presumably if it has downloaded and update, this is where it can be told to install the update?

Press 'button' at bottom of that screen that says 'view install history'

Mine lists the 4 installs that were done in August.

Pressing on one of the updates gives a brief description of what was done.

The headlight 'recall' is one of the ones listed for mine.

It shows it was installed 25Aug2023
