I have a 1976 350 small block c10. I am wondering if it is beneficial to swap out the air cleaner for an aftermarket one. I have OEM thermac model with the snorkel and pre heater tube. Would it be best just to refurbish this one (clean and paint) or would it be better to swap for an aftermarket one. If its better to swap, what steps are needed to eliminate the pre heater tube and manifold outlet?

Newbie to this but long time owner of the truck. It was my dad's and looking to fix a lot of it. Any help is appreciated!

An opinion question. Cool!

Refurbish the original. In fact, give the thing a good cleaning. Seal those leaks and get cracking! You've got the makings of a good restoration going on there.

Here's a start. 😉
