Passenger front window will not roll up using passenger door switch.

Could be you have the passenger window buttons locked (a child safety feature).   Press the unlock passenger button.  It should be located on the driver door panel by the 4 sets of buttons which can roll down and up all the windows.  You will see a crude picture of a window with a line drawn through it.,, press the other button without the line to unlock the windows

The passenger window will roll down via the passenger side button but not up. If the child lock was on, it shouldn’t roll down via the passenger side button. I did check though to ensure that the child lock isn’t on. There’s a led on the button that illuminates when child mode is activated.

2019 Sierra SLT. Passenger window will roll down using the passenger door switch, but it will only roll up using the driver door switch. Seems to work fine when operated from the drivers door. Any ideas?

You would have to see if there are fault codes in the bcm or door module if so you have a communication problem either between the switch and the module or the module to the motor. If no code then your input from the switch is not being sent from the switch itself. Switch is bad.

Thank you. Can I read BCM or module codes from the OBD port?

Is the truck a 2019 Limited LTD (2014-2019 old body style) or 2019-2024 new body style?

VIN # will be required to identify RPOs below.

2019 (New Model) has two Regular Production Option (RPO) codes AED or AEF for power windows. The passenger door switch (S79P) functions completely differently for each RPO.

Scan the system first and look for associated codes set in the BCM.

RPO AED. The S79P switch simply reverses power and ground at switch terminals 9 (GN/GY) ckt 3387 & 10 (YE/BU)ckt 3388.

RPO AEF. For UP, the S79P switch provides a ground path input to the M74P window motor at pin 11 of the switch ckt 3384 (YE/BK) to the UP circuit.

Note: AEF - Each press of the switch for UP, DN and Express only provides a ground path, compared to RPO AED.

B+ is supplied directly to the window motor.

The S146 driver's switch connects directly to the M74P window motor on ckt 6134 (GN/YE) Lin Bus 3 in both RPO AED and AEF.

It's a new body style 2019.

Had a similar issue on my 2014.  Try opening the door and if it works with door open.

the wires for the window switches are very small. After a few years of opening and closing they can break between the door and cab. Poor design
