PAC APH-GM02 works for 2020+ with BOSE

Recommended Posts

I just thought I would share this small bit with you. Maybe this is already known, but in my case I wanted to install some powered subwoofers in my '21 LTZ and didn't feel like splicing into the factory harness. Its not that I can't do it well, its just that I like avoiding modifying factory wiring if I can do so. In the past I have made a custom T-harness out of a old ampiflier and a pigtail from the donor vehicle. There are also a few companies that makes T-harnesses for these trucks, but they're upwards of $100 or more. I was looking closely at the amps and connectors and realized the three main plugs are identical in shape and size to virtually all GM BOSE vehicles since the late 2000s. On a whim, I discovered the above PAC interface though its not listed for 2019 (20 HD) and newer trucks. Since I only needed the 12V, Ground, and some speaker outputs, I was mainly concerned with the 8-pin connector which is all I used. The other connections could probably be used, and worst case wires may have to be re-pinned, but it looked like most of the pins were populated. The PAC APH-GM02 can be had for less than $40, so its an affordable option if you just want to add subs or the like. Hopefully this helps someone.
