2022 GMC AT4 AC Blower motor Issues

Recommended Posts

Anyone had any issues with their AC Blower motor slowing all the way down and not returning to the prior speed after any blue tooth phone calls. My truck is at the dealer now and they're looking at me like I'm some kind of nut. Before all this was happening the blower motor would slow all the way down when I either placed a call or received a call. After the call was completed the fan retuned to the prior speed. Now I have to manually reset the fan speed to the prior speed. If I get another call the fan does the same thing. It goes down but wont come back up. Thank God I bought the extended warrantee!

My 22 high country refresh does the same thing but at times will quit blowing out the vents until you shut off the truck and wait 5 minutes and it might start blowing blowing again. It sounds like a jet plane as all dampers have closed but the blower is still blowing. So far have changed temp switch, recalibrated all damper relays, changed the evaporator core. First time I left it was told had too much Freon and cleared and recharged the system. I keep telling them it’s electrical tied into the new radio system and being told no it’s not. The Chevrolet engineers are involved with the last two times it was in and waiting for it to happen again

Thanks for the heads up Kevin and Eclipse! I'm having some small issues with the radio as well. The XM won't load music until I fiddle around and change stations. The dealer says the fan is a known problem that GM is working on. Just like you said! I wonder, when they replace the radio if the fan problem will go away.  After all, the fan usually goes nuts when the Blue Tooth is called upon and the Blue Tooth is in the radio. BTW the radio is on back order too!

I've contacted my local dealer numerous times about PIT6032B and they look at me like I'm some kind of nut! They agree there is a problem and agree that the GM engineers have known about the problem for quite some time. But there is STILL no fix? You pay a ton of money for all the whistles and bells only to find out they quit working after a short time. Then you go try to get the issues fixed and you have to wait months with no fix in sight?  I even contacted the GM customer care people with the same basic response. Funny thing this is getting worse. Now the Recirculation feature is NOT working either. What next!!!  I'm really getting disenchanted with GMC/GM to the point I just might consider switching brands.

all the bells and whistles, lol. i understand you bought a vehicle that's supposed to do everything for you but new vehicles are like microsoft windows it never does work right and there is always up dates. there is some many computers in vehicles now a day and you have pencil pushers and engineers that put stuff on paper and say that should work. but in the real world it has flaws. when you change a heat setting on these trucks it takes 4 computers to figure out what you just did. if you think switching brand will solve your problems go for it, but i work on all brands for people when they don't have warranty any more and i can tell you they are all junk. the best truck i ever owned was an 88 chev with manual heat controls, i turned the radio down when i made a call and set my heat where i wanted. 450k miles and finally the tranny gave up. bells and whistles, you want them then you have to deal with the agravation of pencil pushers who control what you buy. i guess i am old and still appreciate things that worked. they say all these improvements help to reduce distracted driving, except when they don't work you end up more distracted. ok rant over
