sunroofs?

Recommended Posts

I don't but I want one....I looked into getting one a while back, a place down here in Miami will install it into my HD for 1200 and change.....very tempting, but I have better things to spend the cash with, and I am so d**n afraid of it leaking. I would love one though, they should come from the factory as an option.

A local company puts sunroofs, leather seats, and other accessories in just about any kind of car or truck. They also work directly with new car dealers so you can have the options included in your financing. They also offered a warranty against defects and leaking as long as you own the car.

I have one. I got it through the dealer, but they send it out to a local place. The key is just to make sure that the installer is a pro. The install is top notch and looks like it came from the factory. One rocker switch in the overhead console that has 4 different functions/positions. We have gotten a bunch of rain this winter and it hasn't leaked a drop. Dealer markup on the sunroof was like $1500 and I negotiated it down to $1000, which I know is more than if you went directly to the installer yourself, but with 0% financing I just rolled it in to the cost of the truck. I think the had to keep it for a couple days for the install.

Its nice to have the sunroof, but not $1300 nice, IMO. I had the added benifit of using GMs money to pay for it, otherwise I probably would not have ended up doing it. I'd see if you can figure out who the Dealer sends the truck to (assuming they don't do it themselves), it wil be someone local and I bet you would be looking closer to the $800 that atomoverride found. Also check with the local aftermarket stereo shops. They'll either do it, or know a place that does.
