Bush Bandit
I have a P0326 code that keeps reappearing on my 2017 Silverado 5.3. I've cleared it twice but it's back again. There's no apparent knock or any irregularity so I'm assuming a bad sensor Does anyone know where this sensor is located? Code says it's on bank 1 Is this a common issue? JamirKemmer
The P0326 code in your 2017 Silverado 5.3 indicates a fault with the Knock Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Bank 1. The knock sensor is responsible for detecting abnormal engine knocking or pinging sounds, which can indicate a problem with the combustion process. When the sensor detects such knocking, it sends a signal to the engine control module (ECM) to adjust the ignition timing to prevent engine damage. In the 5.3-liter engine of the 2017 Silverado, the knock sensor is typically located on the engine block, underneath the intake manifold. It is situated between the cylinder banks, near the engine valley. To access the knock sensor, the intake manifold may need to be removed.
