2023 silverado rattle in rear over small bumps Chevy dealership says normal. I put a product called spring thing in and the noise is completely gone. Go to spring thing.com  very easy to install and fixed what Chevrolet could not.

Is tailgate adjusted so it can move a little when it is closed?

I have a question about this. I have the rattle over rough potholes and since you bring up the tailgate and adjustment mine looks to needs adjustment but didn't see a way to adjust. Looking at the gap from in the bed the passenger side gap is bigger than the driver side. Also, there is more movement on the passenger side. I have the power up down tailgate. I only noticed this after the dealer took the truck to have a spray in bedliner installed.  I only hear the rattle when I'm driving thru a very potholed parking lot with the radio off, never on regular roads. Tailgate or rear springs?

Could be either.

Could be something else.

Jarring ride on a potholed surface can make a lot of unexpected things rattle that wouldn't other wise be making any sound.

I just mentioned tailgate because 'back in the day' it wasn't unusual for one to be loose enough to rattle.

I have a 2023 RST and tried this last night.  I could not get the springs to separate.  I had lifted the rear using a block of wood under differential and then jack stands on frame with tires up.  Was your's easy to separate?

Yes you just pound a screwdriver between the the leaves goes in very easily I just jacked it up at the outside frame until tire is off the ground

I took my Spring Thing back out.  I noticed a rougher ride in my 2023, especially at highway speed.  There was a constant rumble you could feel in the wheel and seat.  Took them back out and it's back to smooth.  I'll put up with the small noise on turning from the springs than the constant rough ride.
