Preparing to buy: What did you pay for your 2024 Duramax AT4 or SLT

Recommended Posts

Hello, 1st post here.  I havent bought a new truck since 2009.  I am trying to get some sense about how negotiable the prices are for these trucks because it has been so long since I have been in the game.

I am looking at the AT4s but really any response that shows the MSRP and the price you negotiated would help for any trim levels.

Thanks!

We got our '24 AT4 end of April and they wouldn't budge from MSRP at the time. I drove two states away to get one optioned how I wanted so availability was rough at the time; I'm sure that is much better now and it looks like sales have slowed some.

Negotiate?  Lol.

On a 2024, expect MSRP unless you've got access to GM Supplier or GM Employee or Friends and Family.

Buying this year and the last two prior is nothing like 2009 buying.

Location will matter some. Some dealers around me have a few on the lot (looking at Chevy and GMC as a whole). Most either fall into the lower end trims or the heavily loaded models. Might be able to negotiate some if there is a bunch in stock near you. But with a possible strike coming, which in turn will

limit available supply, dealers may be in no rush to give much of a deal.

our dealer took our employee pricing, some in other parts of the country won’t even do that anymore.

Can confirm. Michigan resident here, 9 out of 10 trucks coming into dealers right now are customer orders, and what's left is basically Pro's and Denali/Ultimates, with almost nothing in between. Put in an order for an AT4 almost a month ago and it still hasn't been accepted.
