2021 GMC Sierra Denali 1500 Exhaust Sound Question

Hello again everyone,

 

I have a question I have been wondering about for a while I wanted to run by you.

 

While driving, my exhaust sometimes sounds a little different and I am not really sure why.

 

This may not make sense but giving it a shot at explaining it but most of the time is the usual hum I have always heard from trucks but from time to time it is a much lower deeper purr kind of sound but a definite noticeable difference. 

 

This is my first diesel vehicle so maybe this is normal and I see no difference in actual performance but it always makes me wonder why this happens and only at certain times.

 

For reference, I only have a little over 5000 miles on the truck.

 

Thoughts?

Bear with me but what is regen?

it is a process that all newer diesels have, it is a process where the system burns off particles and soot out of the dpf
