10 spd trans in 2021-2023 3500 SRW

Owned all big three 3/4 & 1 ton diesel & gas trucks from 2005-2016 for construction. Currently, retired with 2016 3/4 gas and ready to upgrade. Pulling a 13,000K 5th wheel camper and don't want heavily modified (ongoing maintenance) truck. Can't really afford a 2024; but, want 10 spd in the gas truck. Been through all the diesel/gas issues and gas is perfect for us now.

Opinions or cost ideas on adding new 10 spd to 2021-2023 3500? Could it be done reliably or am I pissing in the wind and have to wait until I can afford 2024?

with the way GM has these ecm's and tcm's locked , you probably will have to wait for a 2024

No can do. Everything changed when they added the 10 speed. 6 speed the TCM is internal to the transmission, the 10 speeds the TCM is external so the wiring for everything is totally different between them. Also, 2024 trucks are on GM Global B (GM VIP) where 2020-2023 are GM Global A so lots more different there as well.

Get a 2024 or wait for used ones to hit the market. There is always lower, more affordable trim levels too like the WT or Custom instead of the LT. Custom for example you get a power driver seat standard, you can get Z71 now, there is also a safety package suite too. Can't get some things like heated seats or steering wheel controls however.
