Extended Warranty suggestions for 2016 lifted Silverado with 45k miles...

Recommended Posts

So my GMEPP is over in February and it has more than paid for itself many times over.  I would love to find another extended warranty for my truck but either they don't service my stats of Commiefornia or they won't warranty a modified truck.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

with the way California is going, you may just want to trade it in on an electric truck!

Sorry, but couldn't pass that one up. Hope you get a good reply for the guys....

Lol!  Good man! Bad joke....

Just curious. Does GM offer any additional extended warranty?

As far as I know, the GM Service Plans need to be purchased prior to the bumper to bumper running out. I got real lucky on mine and it's still in effect for about another year and a half. When I bought my truck "new", it had several hundred miles on it all ready. I contacted GM and after haggling a bit, they agreed to extend my 3 year/36k miles to 4 years/60k miles for free. In early 2020, before that ran out, I purchased a 5 year/60k Protection plan with 0 deductible. It has more than paid for itself already. I'm hoping now that if my trans, torque converter, or lifters are going to go bad, they are going to do it soon...

I love my truck but owning it out of warranty scares me a bit.
