I tried the L9 sometimes it’s seems to work then it starts again?

I believe it’s all to much with the engine switching cylinders on and off the transmission with 10 speeds and auto stop I can’t tell it’s a V8, unless you run off auto stop, shift using manual paddles and gas it!

I believe it’s a software and hardware issue!

Dump the Junk let Bitchin fix it!

For $76k I want my money back GM and Chevrolet so I can buy a truck that works!

it’s not enough that I spent my lifetime buying and collecting corvettes and other vehicles from GM only to buy my last vehicle and get banged on my Final Truck Purchase!!

there a GM service bulletin covering this issue they are aware! It involves Trucks built with the 5.3/6.2 engines with 10 speed automatic transmissions!

it time for the huge Lemon in the bed and park it across the street from my dealer!

oh I’m a disabled combat veteran!

I have had this exact same issue with my 2023 Chevrolet 1500 5.3 10 speed. It is absolutely awful to drive and is so annoying. I can’t believe they are letting these off the lot like this. I’ve had the fluid changed/pan dropped/torque converter changed/valve body changed. Nothing has helped. After the valve body change didn’t help the dealer just said well I guess it’s just going to be how it is. I cannot accept that. I paid for a brand new truck, there should not be issues like this. It is not right. What else can someone do besides seek legal advice?

I am having the exact same issue as others here with low speed vibration/shudder around 1200-1500 rpm.  I also took it back to the dealer, twice in the first 10000km and, just like the others, the tech said they could not replicate the problem.  Also like the others, it’s a 2023 Sierra Elevation 5.3. I also described the issue to the tech as similar to driving a standard transmission and shifting too early, resulting in a shudder.  Considering the number of people with the exact same problem getting the exact same response, I am in agreement that they are fully aware of this issue and just not addressing it.

Otherwise, the truck is amazing on the highway, has no issues under higher speeds, even at the same rpm, but this low speed shudder is driving me nuts to the point where I’m wondering what kind of loss I would take selling a less-than-year old truck with 11000km on it.

*unsatisfactory update from the tech at my dealership:   He says this is the DFM cylinders deactivating and the transmission is responding. The combination results in the vibration/shudder.
Considering how many people are annoyed & dissatisfied by this, you would think GM would have a fix by now.  Nothing they can do in the meantime while we all wait for GM to come good on this.

I was totally against cylinder deactivating. I’ve since experienced it done right. I’ve seen it engage for extended periods of time. Unlike my experience with my GM truck. So can it be done right? Yes. Can it be done without affecting longevity? Yes.

Need an American sourced Torque Converter instead of those little donuts made in Mexico! They are total junk!

I traded my 1900 miles 23 Silverado HC 4x4 in on a 24 Tahoe HC 4x4 with a 6.2 and Wow nice smooth ride!

So I have a 2023 gmc Sierra 1500 elevation model with the 5.3l and 10 speed, when I just maintain speed around 40-47 miles and hour it rumbles and slightly vibrates, almost like running over little bumps. And happens in lower speeds as well. I’ve drove in L9 in which the problem leaves, so I know it has something to do with DFM. But I’ve seen other post talking about it being DFM, that was fixed with the transmission valve body being replaced. And was wondering if it was a common fix for this issue and if it’s worth bringing to the dealers attention, thanks.

My '23 sierra x31 (40,000 km) is starting to display these shuddering symptoms. Seems to be when I'm driving at a constant speed under 60km/hr (1000-1500 RPM) or around 100km/hr.  It will stop shuddering if I quickly shift to neutral. Definitely rules out alignment or tire issues.

GM mechanic rode along with me and could feel it also. Said he thinks it's likely the torque converter.  Appointment next week to have it replaced. We'll see what happens...

My 2020 GMC ZRX does the same thing and sometimes it doesn’t wanna shift gears, up or down. Said they couldn’t make the truck do it again and it was shifting fine. Well it’s not by any means. Mostly 4th to 5th or 5th to 6th. I’ve heard it’s the DFM but also heard of similar problems being corrected by replacing the valve body in the transmission. I hope I don’t have to buy another transmission like I have my past 2 trucks. Did they ever resolve the issues with your truck?? Or any of y’all’s trucks?? If so, what did they do?
