can anyone burn rubber with 6.0

Recommended Posts

Heh, even in mine (K1500, 5.3, G80, 3.73 ... which a much lighter truck than the 2500) it's near impossible to do that. Stinkin torque management!!! :jester: Luckily, my Wester's PCM should be here today (I hope). (1BADHD, I got the 93 tune too ... sounds like I'll be happy)! w000t!!! But yeah, it sucks. For trucks with so much power, that crap really robs you off the line.

I have a Westers 87 tune and I cannot really turn over the tires hard. I still have some torque management in it. I can turn the stockers over no problem when the pavement is wet, but on dry pavement the tires break loose for a few feet and than grab and I go thanks to the Westers!!

Ah, now in the rain is a different story !!!!! I do mondo-brodies and power-drifts everywhere !!!!!! Quad steering rules for goofing off  !!!!!!!!

Just got my truck back from the shop...amazing what happens when you don't have you parking shoes touching whatever it is they touch to stop the truck....anyway....now that I have the full performance out of my westers I decided to try it out in the rain..... :nono: empty parking lot equals sideways truck still spinnin the wheels through third  Now I gotta see if I can do it when it's dry....probably not.....they're 315's :jester:

I can't even get a chirp out of my 285 Nittos...

Really? Mine will smoke them...And I only have the 5.3...My truck weighs a little less though.

But I agree with JP....Why would you guys want to? That's (at least) $500 in rubber down there....Not to mention the fact that it is hard on everything in the driveline to do it.

Right after I got my Wester's and my MT/Rs, my gym sealcoated the parking lot. A couple of days later,I was in a hurry and still 'testing' the Wester's and I left 2 black strips of rubber about 40' ot 50' long. It wasn't intentional at all. It was cool and embarrassing at the same time. Part of me was proud that my truck could do that and the other part was embarrassed that at my age I'd defaced property.

It's not something I would do on a regular basis, or even a 2nd time. But since I dropped in the new PCM I wanted to at least do it once. No such luck.
