New anti-theft device?

After arriving at the doc's office this morning for lab work 6 to 8 hornets swarmed out of the front door jamb area below the A pillar as I got out of my p/u, I didn't notice their nest when I departed home so they must not have liked the ride. I had last driven the p/u on Sunday so it didn't take them long to set up housekeeping. Quickly shut the door and checked in at the front desk and while I was waiting for the blood draw I pondered on a plan for their removal. Decided if I was going to get stung, no better place than in front of a doctor's office so after the phlebotomist was done I used my walking stick to remove their nest and swat at them as they swarmed around. They didn't seem to be interested in going after me so maybe I should have just left them alone?
