Waiting for Delivery

Recommended Posts

I ordered my 2024 2500HD back in March 2023.   It was built the last week of March per the GM website.   It sat only until April 4th and at that time, the website said "pending Dispatch".  I was very excited that my new truck would be delivered sometime in the next FEW weeks.   Well as of July 14th, the truck is still sitting in Oshawa CA "Pending Dispatch"   The dealer can't help and knows nothing.  I called the GM Customer Service line and they told me it was pending dispatch.   I really messed up, because I turned in my 2020 2500 back in March  because the dealer gave me a great price and my 2024 was built.  Little did I know that I would be without a truck now going on 15 weeks with no end is sight.   Wondering if anyone else has a long wait time like this with their 2500?   I the Covid mess is not over............

Oshawa has had a hard time with transporting vehicles. There are some rumors as to why but nothing thats easily confirmed. This is part of the reason why I pushed so hard to have mine built in Flint. It still took 15 days for it to be transported less than 12 miles to the dealer but I knew where it was the entire time and what the hold up was.

Its also possible that it was built short and they are still waiting for it to be ready to ship. GM is very vague on status most of the time.

Thank you.  The dealer told me they have no control over where the trucks are built.  It is funny, because my son ordered a 2023 HD back in October and it was built in Oshawa and he had it 12 weeks from order date to delivery.   So when I ordered mine, he joked, "Hope it's built in Oshawa you will have it fast".   Not the case,  there seems to be bigger issues that nobody is talking about.
