2020 Silverado auto headlights not working

Recommended Posts

Have a 2020 Silverado and my auto headlights are keeping the lights on in broad daylight and even dimming the screen like it thinks it’s dark outside. I can’t get them to turn off without switching them to off even then the screen doesn’t switch to daytime. been going on for a few days anyone have a fix

I had a hat sitting over the sensor up on the dash.  Removed it and it worked.  You also probably saw the interior dash lights were extremely dim too which is "night time" mode.
