How about new tread for 2024 GM Heavy Duty?

Recommended Posts

With so many changes to the 2024 HD, how about a dedicated thread just to the 2024. I’ve found that cameras are special. Trailer TPMS are special. No idea what upfitter AUX switches are compatible. What else?  A dedicated forum would be nice.

They are?  Mine didn't come with trailer TPMS but I was hoping to buy the ones on Amazon and fitting them to my RV trailer eventually.

I have a 2024.  IMO, I don't think enough has changed to warrant a dedicated forum

  • Minor facelift (Not sure if its better, just different)
  • Updated interior (Google Maps are nice).  In reality the main difference is the screen
  • New TPMS sensors are needed if you plan to use the A/M wheels you just took off your 2020-2023. My trailers still paired up fine.
  • Slight power increase for Duramax
  • 10spd Allison paired with Gas (This is probably the biggest change)
  • Removed some of the quick access buttons on the exterior doors (This might have happened before 2024 though).

What else?  Issues I've had on the 2024 that I didn't on either of my 2020's.  Taking it in for both to be checked out.

  • Glitchy animated Headlamp that frequently acts like a bulb is burnt out. (Power cycling resets)
  • Constant Service power tailgate message.

Doesn't the new one have a heavily changed electrical architecture, all new trailering modules, etc?

It might, not really that noticeable and not sure they warrant a seperate forum.  I really don't care one way or the other, just my thoughts after owning both, all good.
