Driveshaft issue

Recommended Posts

I recently replaced my 4x4 4L60E with a 2wd one on my 99 Chevy 1500 ext cab long bed , everything fits perfect except when I got to the drive shaft part I tried like 3 different drive shafts and all of them seem to not work and be in the way of the torsion bar.. anyone has did a conversion like this or does anyone have ideas on what I should do ? yes i have tried a 2wd 2 piece driveshaft.

So you have a 4x4 truck, that I assume on the back of the 4L60 had the 4x4 transfer case adapter attached to it.  You then got a used 4L60 to put in there from a 2wd truck.

Is the truck still a 4x4, so is the transfer case installed back in the truck and the adapter to the transmission?

Also, 1999 new body style or 1999 old body (looks like an 88-98)????
