2019 LT Trail Boss highway vibration/rubbing?

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased a 2019 Trail Boss with 38k miles. The previous owner had a puck style level on it and the front end sat a full inch higher than the rear. I had a local lift and tire shop remove the level, install Rough Country OE Upgrade control arms (stock arms are supposedly super flimsy and fail frequently with any type of lift or level), and install Bilstein 5100s at all 4 corners.

The front Bilsteins are adjustable to give the front some lift. I asked that they put it on the middle setting which gives it 0.55" of lift. When I got the truck back I noticed an odd noise at highway speeds (60+ mph). It would happen with a slight turn to the left. Like changing lanes or going around a slight turn. It does not happen when going to the right. I can barely feel it in the steering wheel. It is rhythmic with long notes if that makes sense? I then measured tire to fender on both sides of the truck and the driver said was sitting a half inch lower than the passenger side. I thought well maybe they just put the wrong setting on the struts.

I took it back and they took everything apart again and said everything looks fine. They adjusted the settings so that the truck is more even in the front, meaning one side is on the second notch and one side is on the third notch. I'm not too sure how I feel about that.

So regarding the noise, wheel bearing, steering column? I am out of ideas. Any help is appreciated.
