Brake Rotors gouge mark?? all 4

Recommended Posts

My rotors ALL have a gouge mark in them?  My truck has 30k and I bought it with 27k.

I noticed this when I bought the truck but was thinking it was some kind of wear mark to let you know when the rotors need to be replaced?

I now looked closer and the marks vary in location, so I think it's the metal almost coming apart?

Does anyone have an explanation as to why this happened to my truck?

The pad life is 88% rear and 81% front.

thank you

Gravel gets caught between brake pads and rotors leaving those marks. Normal side effect of driving a vehicle instead of leaving it in the garage.

It will not hurt or affect anything other than being annoying on a newly gotten truck.
