Power fold mirrors

Recommended Posts

Has anyone looked into retro fitting the power fold mirrors. That was the one option my 23 2500 didn’t come with. We ordered and dealer said that they were discontinued because they were freezing up. Don’t know if that’s true, but mine is not really driven in the inclement weather.
I don’t know if it’s plug and play or if you need to change a switch panel as well as maybe a bcm flash?? When I’ve searched I haven’t found anything in the forums.

I'm sure there's a way to add them. They pretty much just need power to a button and wires from the button to the mirrors.

I think the dealer lied. I ordered my truck around the beginning of Oct, 2022 with a build date in Dec, 2022 and I have the power fold mirrors. I believe they stopped taking orders for the 2023 models in Nov, 2022. So far no issues with them.

that would really frustrate me as all other experiences with my dealer have been good. I ordered the last week of June of 2022 and received it in December of 2022.

Going off of Boost, its replace the door switch for one with power fold, and then add the power fold modification harness.  You'd need their harness most likely, and then the switch and switch bezel from GM.  I'd contact them and see how they offer a power fold harness mod.

Dealer/GM won't be of any help on the BCM flash side of things, but Boost's harness seems to validate flashing un-necessary.

There was a bit of a constraint on the DWI power folding tow mirrors, but they are definitely and were not discontinued.  Some trucks were indeed built without them for a couple months.
