Never  mind.  I was surprised to see you didn't have roof lights.  After a little research, I see it's a 'California' thing.

Nice truck!

I would pay extra not to have those lights on top!

I like the roof lights. A neighbor told me that my truck looks like a Christmas tree at night coming down the street. Also like to be seen considering how many people pull out like they don't see me.

I used to drive trucks with 30 bright flashing lights on them and people still didnt see them sometimes. Its hard to see when your face is buried in your phone. I agree though, my 2024 has every light on it that GM would put there.

Which is exactly what I don't want.

Either way, the state of California made the decision for you! :)

I've ordered them on the last 3 trucks. I think they're a great addition, especially for only $55! I like just driving with my park lights in the early evening light, and not having the headlights blaring when they're not needed.

I kinda like the idea of having 5 less holes in the top of my truck!

I agree ! That's one of the reasons  we passed on the Z71 that was at the dealer .One less thing to go wrong in the future !

  • 4 weeks later...

This is follow up post from a few posts I put up back in late January.  See pages 37 and 38 of this thread.  The TLDR was that I ordered a 2500 HD in November of 2023 and by the time it was scheduled to be built it was not optioned as I had specified.  So I had to re-order, with some new information about the ordering process provided by the folks in this thread, so again thanks for that.  So the new truck has been built, it's off the train at the local depot, (whatever that's called), and waiting to go on the auto transporter for delivery to the dealer.  Hopefully will be here sometime this coming week.

Is there a way to make this PDF display in my message? or do I need to convert it to a pic file like a JPEG?

Exactly why we did not want  them either ! I think they look great when they are on , but a leak would not be cool !

I've had 4 different trucks with the LED cab lights & have never had a leak, although I've never taken out my headliners to see if there was any "seepage". I've also NEVER had a failed tailgate switch neither, so there you go!

Well that's good to know for those that have them on their trucks
