2024 HD orders / status

I was looking at some of the available aftermarket gooseneck / 5th wheel mounts... they were estimating 4-5 hours for installation, but I'm guessing that's for a shop that does has all the right tooling on hand and has done it more than zero times before.  And none of the 'user installs' I saw had the fit/finish of the factory package.  It's a little bit of a conundrum, as we don't really *need* that particular option at this time - we're actually getting the truck to haul a slide-in camper.  But a few years down the road, a 5'ver is very likely in our plans.  Hopefully, we'll still have the same truck...

Yeah, probably depends on personal situation. For us, a 5er is a “possibility”but not really something we are planning on. The plan is to keep the bumper pull and add bed rack for hauling kayaks etc. Wasn’t worth waiting on that since a 5er is a big maybe for us. But if it’s definitely in your plan, makes more sense to wait. FWIW my dads been hauling his massive Montana 5er with his truck with aftermarket gooseneck setup with zero problems for years. Makes it easier for me to skip it now in favor of getting the truck sooner. Crazy high value on my trade-in was a motivating factor on wanting the truck sooner too 😅

What was your order number? I'm trying to see if there's a correlation, mine is CSGMP3. I'm still stuck at scheduled for production(3300) but do not have a build date yet.

When did you order yours?

I got my build date the day it was being built literally the day of.

Mine was accepted for production 6/4

Build start 7/12

Build finished 7/19

Told was on train today 7/25

Mine officially made it out of Canada and now its being sitting at the stupid railyard in Baltimore, MD for a week. My Ram last year sat there for 3 weeks before it was delivered, that yard is ridiculous and one of the worst in the nation. On the Ram forum, that is considered the black hole of all train yards.

Ordered from Rivard end of May, ordered was accepted mid June. Went to event code 3300 scheduled for production the last week of June and have been stuck with no TPW since. I ordered a 24 at4 duramax with premium plus package, with 5th wheel package. Reading back on this forum I saw gooseneck is on constraint? I reached out to my dealer and was told it was not on constraint.

Also ordered mine from rivard on 6/20. dealer is saying mine has been accepted but gm's chat box is saying it hasn't. dealer thinks its because of the new law for Florida prohibiting the sale directly to consumers. in other words the order has to go in as dealer stock.

I would ask the dealer if you are at event code 2000 specifically. That code means it was successfully accepted by GM. If you’re at event code 1100, it means the order was placed but GM has not accepted the order yet. On my sheet my sales guy showed me, it showed “Retail Sold” not dealer stock.
