Can't say, I didn't tell you so! LOL

Once I bought Corsa on my HC, I would never go back to anything else. (I had Gibson, Magnaflow, and Flowmaster).

Glad you are enjoying it, and the tips look awesome!!

TNT

Thanks for the recommendation.

I ended up getting the Borla Touring.  I just wanted a little more growl than stock.  I don't mind the factory tips, so I opted for the one without the quad tips.  I'm happy with it.  My wife absolutely hates loud exhausts, and is fine with this one.  It works out for my needs.

The Corsa setup is not hurting the mpgs at all.

Took a run out in the country today. 55 mph hiways two lane blacktop. Had to slow down and stop through 5 smaller towns.  Otherwise I was going 50- 55 mph mostly. There was a 20mph headwind the whole way. Here's my stats for 120 miles...20230417_112715.thumb.jpg.65c6dea1a4904d013c9d3602910d6200.jpg

Ive had 2 Corsa cat backs on GM 6.2 never any drone even when towing

the last 2 were touring hreat systems

but they no longer offer the Touring so have the sport just  waiting  to install on my 2023 6.2

Hope its not too loud under normal driving / cruise

I had the Corsa on my '14 Denali and bought another for my '23.  It sounds great.  I think it's slightly quieter in the cab due to the rear exit vs the right side exit on the '14 and I also don't think you hear it as much because the 6-speed '14 always wound out the gears higher than the '10-speed does in the '23 in normal driving.  Definitely not too loud and still ZERO drone.

I've had many GMPP, Borla and Corsa exhausts and they'll all sound great on the GM V8 engines. GMPP/Borla touring has a nice almost factory growl and tone. Reminds me of my 09 before GM killed their factory exhaust sound, but a little louder. No drone. The louder Borla systems sound good, but they get raspy the more aggressive you go (S Type, Atak). Never been a fan of those.

Corsa touring isn't available on the newer 6.2, but the Sport sounds great. Corsa has the best drone elimination at the cost of some lower frequencies, so it has more of a "race car" sound to it. If you like reving under bridges and tunnels, this is the one to get. Hah.

Not to say GMPP/Borla drones, but some folks may interpret the lower exhaust note as drone, such as during low speed slower acceleration. It's not actually drone as I would define it. Just exhaust, but you can hear it. That's what you want, afterall. Actual drone is far more pronounced and annoying. Either way, you won't hear much cruising on the highway.

And the GMPP is basically a Borla Touring system, I could never really hear a difference in sound, if there was one.

As usual, they all sound great, and comes down to personal preference. Do you want something louder than stock but won't break local sound ordinances, no drone, go GMPP or Borla touring. Want a more aggressive sound, yet reasonable volumes, and still no drone, Corsa Sport (or touring if you have the option, it's a bit quieter, and less aggressive).

And no video will do then justice.

I figure I'll post my experience with Corsa exhaust and long tube (LT) headers -

I concur with the sound of the Corsa Touring.  I had that exhaust system in my 2003 GMC Denali, with the 6.0 and LT headers.  The touring system toned the sound down at idle and cruising, but hitting the gas, it gave out a nice growl.

I was disappointed that Corsa didn't offer the same for my newer Silverado with the 6.2, which has Kooks LT.  Lacking much in video clips of the various systems mentioned and others, I opted to go ahead and give the Corsa Sport a shot, with removing everything from behind the headers.  Initially the start-up bark was way to loud, toned down a bit after warm-up, but had a raspy edge I didn't like.  This wasn't Corsa fault per se, but because of the LT headers.  After a couple months and some miles into the system, I installed a Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator in front of the muffler, which improved the sound quite a bit.  After a few more months and miles, the system has toned down a bit more to my acceptable levels, but still slightly louder than the touring system in comparison.  Many have commented to me that the truck sounds great and although I love Corsa more than others, maybe I was just accustomed to the sound the touring system provided.

Just a FYI for those who have or are planning future install of headers.  Present day prices are pretty steep and if you want to save a few more $$$, opt for aftermarket polished SS tips.  There's a few out there at substantially less.

Corsa.

Or trade your 2023 for a 2024 as GM just announced factory dual mode active exhaust standard on 6.2s.

I’m looking at trading my 18 Sierra in for a 24 Sierra and looking over the options. I have what might be a dumb question to some but what is the difference in the dual mode exhaust to the GM cat back exhaust system they offer as an option . I’m looking for a little more rumble sound over stock but not crazy load. Dual mode gives you the option  to swift from touring /sport and change the sound a little bit correct. So if I order dual and cat back system it will enhance the sound even more correct ? Is there much drone with the GM cat back system ?

Well the factory dual mode that will be standard on 2024 with the 6.2 only should produce no drone.  And yes, it should be like Camaro and Corvette in where the exhaust can change tone.  The way the order guide reads, it gets louder when in Sport mode.  In other drive modes it will be quiet.

Otherwise 99% of the other catbacks out there aren't a dual mode, they will just have different levels of muffler.  The catbacks through the GM accessories or LPO when ordering are made by Borla and use the Touring muffler.

This is a hard question to answer since I doubt anyone here has personally compared all there on the same truck.  And if someone spends the money on either cat back system they probably will have good things to say about it.

As for me I went with the Borla toring cat back because I didn't want it loud.  I wanted a fairly quite system with just a little more sound over stock and a good deep tone with no drone.  And one that still gives improved performance.   The Borla touring version did exactly that more me and I am very happy with it.

Everyone has their own taste and expectation is an aftermarket exhaust.

I just bought a 24 SIlverado RST 5.3L.  Truck had single exhaust.  I bought the GM offered Borla upgrade to dual exhaust.  Had it installed by the dealer.  Left pipe/tip points straight and looks great.  Right pipe/tip points about 5 degrees to the left.  Service mechanic and manager insist they followed installation instructions and are at a loss on how to fix.  Any ideas out there in this forum?

Hello,

I am looking to put a GM Exhaust "By Borla" on my 2024 Silverado RST 5.3 with dual exhaust.  How is the sound when the AFM is activated? Does the GM Accessories  Exhaust have the flapper valve?
