Q-jet M4MC questions...

Are these easy to rebuild, or a PITA, or somewhere inbetween? I got one in need of a rebuild and I was wondering what to expect.

Q-jets are not complicated but they are different if you compare to a Holley. You need to take your time and be careful is all. The is a book on how to rebuild them I think by Doug Roe. Lots of info and tips.

Paco,

You need to check the throttle shaft and be sure it isn't

loose in the bore. If it is don't waste your time and money

on that one.

I have kind of a dumb question...the carb says "built by Carter" on the body, but "Rochester" stamped on the lean/rich adjustment...does the maker of the carb make any difference? I don't know much about automotive carbs or the companies that made them, so help is appreciated!
