Wireless phone charger problem.

Recommended Posts

The notification came up on MY GMC phone app. Then I went out to the truck went into the infotainment settings and there the update was. Took about 15 minutes to download and install.

The latest update I downloaded is.  GM N22-239253.

I’m pleased to report that after updating my iPhone to iOS 17.2 the wireless charging is working.   I‘ve taken 3 drives since updating this afternoon and it has started charging and kept charging on 2 of the 3 drives.  On the 3rd drive it did stop charging after hitting a small pothole.  I’m assuming it was the iOS update that resolved the issue, but it is also possible there was a software update to my Canyon also.  A pleasant surprise is that you get a message informing you that your phone is still on wireless charger when you shut off the truck.

Samsung S22 and I also have this problem.  I've noticed as many others that if I put the phone in top in the down position I have better luck.  Also if I turn it slightly cattycornered on the pad it almost always charges.  Small annoyance, but I susupect a lot of it depends on the phone and any particular case on the phone.

I have this issue as well.  I tried putting the phone in top first and having the phone unlocked when I placed it on the charger.  Better, but the issue is still there intermittently.  Next step is to check for an update and maybe see if the catty corrner thing helps.

I have issues with my 15 Pro Max also. After some playing around with it this morning though, it is due to the Supcase that is on it. Without the case, it charges just fine now matter how I toss it in there. Seems like just a week charger from GM, IMHO.
