Radio sounds "Tinny" and "Base" doesn't sound right ......

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

I have a 2021 Silverado 2500 HD, LT, Crew Cab with the DuraMax Diesel. Lately the radio sounds "Tinny" and the "Base" sounds terrible. Wondering if anyone has experienced this ?  Any suggestions/ideas would be greatly appreciated. Attached Photo is from the Internet to show what I have. Thank You !

Did you try to adjust the bass and treble? It could have went back to default settings for some reason. I had a 2015 HD and the radio would switch back to default settings once every few months.

Hi Silverado4x4,

Thanks for your comment. Yes I did check the bass and treble settings and they were good. I'm thinking there is a loose speaker connection somewhere because when I drive over rough roads the sound comes back to normal and then cuts out again. Thanks again !

Yeah loose connection for sure. Could be at the speakers or it could be a ground issue. Electrical can be a headache.
