Factory Wheel specs

Recommended Posts

That's a good question.  Here's what I found on google... I hope this helps.  This actually educated me too because I thought it was 20x9.  I was wrong.  It's 20x8

This Factory OEM CHEVROLET rim comes equipped on a 2020 - 2022 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 2500 . This is a ALLOY wheel with a diameter of 20" width of 8 ". This CHEVROLET SILVERADO 2500 wheel has 8 lug holes and a bolt pattern of 8-180. The offset of this CHEVROLET SILVERADO 2500 rim is 47mm.

I liked those wheels when I first got my truck; thought they were different.  Now that I've had the truck for a year I'm already growing tired of them and want something that actually has a little bit of lip.  Going to stick it out until it's time to replace tires.

I actually love those wheels.  In all my years of owning vehicles, I've only had one that I put different wheels on and that was my beloved 71 Chevy Biscayne that I bought back in 1982.  The poor mans Impala back then lol...I put on some Cragar mags on a 4 door Chevy Biscayne.  But it looked great!!  No really it did...lol....

No, I do not like those wheels.

In 2020 the center portion of the wheel was black.  I didn't like that.  It was too contrasting with the aluminum in my opinion.  They went to gray either in 21 or 22.  Now I like them, actually love them.

I just wish they weren't so narrow.  If they were an inch or two wider and maybe had a lip on them, they'd be much better.  But as they are, they remind me of pizza cutters.  I'll probably keep them as I don't feel like messing with aftermarket wheels though.

Homewrecker, thanks for providing the specs that OP asked for.  Sorry I distracted from the original post.

Wait.  There is a 17” option?   I thought 18’s were min. To fit over brakes.

17" is standard on 2500hd for two trims.  Steel on WT, aluminum on LT.

All 1 ton minimum is 18" because of the higher load rated tires to go with the higher GVWRs.
