Don't beat yourself up.  I promise you most of us, especially me have done stuff we don't even want to admit to.  I'm glad it all worked out great.  That's the bottom line!!!

My Santa Fe had a diagram that showed the position of the steering wheel when you started it, pretty cool. If something simple like depressing the gas pedal keeps it from starting. There should be a warning light for that. That’s lame.

That is lame of GM.  Hopefully @Pryme will see this and log it into his database of a known cause for a no start.

I am an idiot…. I was researching this topic last night and found numerous posts about trucks not starting. Then I ran across somebody’s comment mentioning their floor mat was on the gas pedal and my heart dropped. I had just installed new floor liners but knew there was no way my OCD wouldn’t have seen that. I ran to the dealership this morning and sure enough, I am an idiot.

Wait so you have no issue then? Is there some sort of safety thing where it won’t start if the gas pedal is depressed?

I’m here. I don’t actually have a database ha. I screenshot some things that have resolved issues. So this would be a good one to remember in case it happens to any of us.

The dealer asked to keep the truck for the morning to see if the codes had cleared, which I was surprised there were any codes at all as there was nothing identified on the dashboard. They also said they had a fuel pump power module on order, as this has resolved similar issues in the past. He also said if that didn’t cure it they wouldn’t know where to start. At the end of the day I’m glad that I threw $300 away for a tow and a day’s worth of car rental rather than owning a truck I’d never trust. Lesson learned, the truck is fine and my blood pressure is starting to come down.
