Soft Open Tailgate Hinge.

Hi all,

  I have the 2018 Silverado LTZ with the soft open tailgate hinge. Got some damage and weighing option of swapping the tailgate out vs repairing/painting it. It's Summit white so plenty of take offs out there. Can I find a regular hinge tailgate and change it or is it welded/pressed in?

Basically the same parts are in yours (K2) as the video.

I bought a soft close tail gate shock on Amazon for $25

i gave up on the GM parts. 
easy fix
