Noise at idle 2022 silverado 2500 gasser

Recommended Posts

Grinding/whistling noise behind driver side dash at idle and in park.  Goes away once acceleration begins or when it’s in park goes away when I push the brake pedal but comes right back.  Only notice it when in park or in gear idling and only inside the cab don’t hear any noise outside of truck.  Any thoughts or similar experiences with this? Thanks

That sounds like the typical power steering system noise. Some are louder than others. I heard this to varying levels when I test drove new trucks. My 2021 3500 SLT (uplevel steering - I forget what they call it) makes it, but is fairly quiet compared to most that I test drove. There are several threads about this noise.
