I’m happy to announce

Recommended Posts

That turning off traction control allows you to do some fun donuts in snow covered parking lots. Hey it’s fun to be a kid again sometimes.

you would think this is a given but not so. My last truck was a tundra and even after going through a multi button push sequence, it would still cut power if you really tried to do some good donuts in tue snow/ice.

that’s all.

Merry Christmas all

Traction AND Stabiltrak both off will be the better way to do the parking Lot Snow Donuts

To turn off only TCS, press and release g.
The traction off light i displays in the
instrument cluster. The appropriate message
will display in the DIC. To turn TCS on again,
press and release g. The traction off light
i displayed in the instrument cluster will
turn off.
If TCS is limiting wheel spin when g is
pressed, the system will not turn off until
the wheels stop spinning.
To turn off both TCS and StabiliTrak/ESC,

press and hold g

until the traction off light
i and the StabiliTrak/ESC OFF light g
come on and stay on in the instrument
cluster, then release. The appropriate
message will display in the DIC.
To turn TCS and StabiliTrak/ESC on again,
press and release g. The traction off light
i and the StabiliTrak/ESC OFF light g in
the instrument cluster turn off.
StabiliTrak/ESC will automatically turn on if
the vehicle exceeds 56 km/h (35 mph).
Traction control will remain off.

This must be the method for those fancy pick um up trucks.

on the WT you hit the traction control button once that is located down by the hazard and downhill assist buttons and that’s it. No stabilitrack

my owners manual does not denote that ---

Stability Control
System Operation
The vehicle has a Traction Control System
(TCS) and StabiliTrak/Electronic Stability
Control (ESC) system. These systems help
limit wheel spin and assist the driver in
maintaining control, especially on slippery
road conditions.

I think the trucks with the auto 4wd option have that stuff I’m guessing. The wt and custom I know have just 4hi and 4low. And only light that ever comes on is the traction control light if you lose traction. One push of the traction control button and the truck can do 360s all over the place.
