I have ran Amsoil in all my vehicles for the last 20 + years...  Never an issue.  They always exceed the manufacture recommendations.  I use the signature series and change my oil once a year (up to 25k miles).

You go up to 25k miles on an oil change? Lol WTF. That amsoil koolaide has you trippin

Says a person with no experience. I’ve been using Amsoil since the early 80s. My experience is with hundreds of heavy equipment many trucks and cars. My experience includes 1 million miles of heavy duty pulling heavy. With diesel and gas engines. It definitely isn’t one size fits all with all modern engines. That’s where oil analysis fits in. Can some engines go extended? definitely. I do in my Honda, Toyota and avalanche. My 02 avalanche has complete Amsoil protection. If you want to use other brands and change often, so be it. Kool-aid drinker, find a mirror.

I been using it since GM started requiring 0W-20 in 2014.  I usually go 1 yr/15,000 miles but in recent years I am lucky to put 12,000 miles a year. I use the AMSOIL filter.  Its in my 2021 Sierra 6.2L   Just had it changed Thursday so next Xmas will likely be my next change.    I have used AMSOIL since circa 1980's.   As for dexos, if they put it on the label, it meets spec then it meets spec.  They did not last for 50+ yrs by making things up.

Friend works construction and he was working this summer on a windmill farm.  Told me the monster turbines come requiring AMSOIL gear oil, labeled on the turbine.

Amsoil is snake oil. It’s not magic oil. Plenty of suckers out there buying the marketing. If he does oil analysis and that tells him 25k miles is ok, he could do the same on another brand.

Snake oil wouldn't be approved by API, VW, Mercedes, Porsche, Kohler and Briggs & Stratton to name  a few.  Or sold in many auto and motorcycle dealerships.  Meets all OEM warranty requirements and comes with their own warranty.  Never failed in over 50 years.  Proven to outperform Mobil 1 in independent standard motor oil tests for over 45 years.

I’m sure it’s great oil, I never said that it wasn’t. It’s not the miracle oil people claim it to be or worth the cult following all the suckers give it. All while said suckers pay a premium.

If your mark of a good oil is whether or not it meets those standards you’re setting your bar pretty low.

so ok, for all you DEXOS or nothing guys, lets compare those 2 PENZOIL platinum is a dexos approved but Pennzoil ULTRA PLATINUM IS NOT AND WE ALL KNOW THAT ULTRA PLATINUM IS WAY WAY BETTER OIL THAN PLATINUM. so again what's make dexos so special ? other than GM taking profit from the sale?

Nothing makes dexos so special. Ultra Platinum or whatever you called it probably was just never submitted for Dexos licensing. It likely meets dexos requirements just fine as most oils do.

I agree and I would not hesitate to use it in my truck, I know for the fact the ultra platinum is way better than platinum, in every way.

I think Amsoil is a great oil but it comes down to what I need it for and cost.

If the Amsoil is $14 a quart but the Mobil 1 or Valvoline Full Syn oil meets the requirements and is only $6.99 a quart, I'm going with the cheaper stuff. We're talking a $125 oil change or a $65 oil change. Do that 20+ times over the life of the truck and it's $2500+ or $1,200+ with other oils. I can buy some hookers and blow with my $1,300 savings.

I hear you CamGTP and thought the same way for years. I recently started using Amsoils OE oil and trans fluid. Also their ATV oil. I have said before the oil made my motors quieter and the ATV shifts better due to the motor oil is used in the trans also.

Member price for the OE oil I use is $7.49 a quart. Well worth the 50 cents more IMO.

Not trying to sway your way just an opinion.
