I Have a 2018 GM Sierra 1500 with E-assist. Has any one successfully  disabled  AFM with the Range  Disabler?  Range Tech Service  says the unit is not  compatible

Welcome to the forum!

E-Assist trucks are kind of on their own deal as far as ECM goes.  Because of the hybrid system, nothing is compatible with them.  No cold air intakes, no AFM disablers, no tuning.  Its pretty much locked right up as far as mods go for that.  So unfortunately, AFM can't be disabled.

For future reference, this forum does have a 2014-2019 section and there's tons of resources for those year trucks, including your 2018.

Here's the link to the section of the forum - 2014 - 2019 Silverado & Sierra - GM-Trucks.com

Make sure you bought the correct Range model. They are different depending on your GM model year.

I have a 2021 and it worked as described. Easy to use! I have noticed a loos of about 2 MPG after a couple of months though. I am getting ready for a couple of long trips, straight highway, so we'll see what kind of fuel mileage I get.

They do not work with the K2 generation E-Assist trucks.  None of them.
