On my 2022 Sierra Limited, I got a warning message that the nav’s SD card was not inserted but card is there. Talked to dealer service dept and was advised that it is a known issue and GM is working on software fix. No timeline for the fix being pushed out. 

 

Anyone know if this is legit or was I just being given a line?

My 19 AT 4 had same issue. Was told by dealer in order to correct issue 3 separate items needed to be replaced. I believe this items are: Card reader, new SD card and a "receptacle" (wasn't provided more info at the time what, in particular, the receptacle is) Was also told the issue can be caused by any of the three different items so they just change all three at once and call it a day. Nav has been issue free since.

I had similar issues in my 2021 GMC Sierra Denali.  Dealer performed 2 software updates with continued intermittent SD card warnings and navigation failure.  A second dealer evaluated the problem and found a card reader defect.  This was replaced and I have been without any other issues.  Problem solved!

Wanted to provide an update on this. Turned out it was just a bad SD card. All is working good now.
