No Tyme
Can anyone give me the wattage & kelvin rating on the stock bulb? I am looking to upgrade the headlights and would like to know what I have to start with. The projector bulb I believe is an HID bulb which is a D5S. I think they may be 25 watt, just not sure Edited December 9, 2022 by No Tyme
CamGTP
When in doubt, google it lol. Rockauto had all this info minus the kelvin rating. https://www.powerbulbs.com/us/product/philips-xenon-vision-d5s-single Almost everything will be a 4200k, don't really want to go above that because the light turns blue and not white.
No Tyme
Thank you. I do want a "Whiter" light so it matches the stock LED fog lamps, so I will be looking at going above 25 watts, but do not want to blind oncoming traffic like many LED lamps do. Thank you! No Tyme
I ended up purchasing a pair of these off Amazon... and what a difference these have made. I feel so much more at ease driving at night and not one person has flashed me. The light is whiter, signs glow off in the distance and even a wider spread of light on the sides of the road. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09MK5FLVB?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=

Please make sure to update this. I also have the D5S in mine and it's a 2016. I figure that the clock is ticking on mine after 6 almost 7 years and they will need replacements in the near future...

I am very pleased with these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09MK5FLVB?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 I have driven over a 125 miles so far in the dark and not one flash from other drivers. Given that they produce almost twice the light output than stock bulbs I am very please I made the decision to purchase these. They have a nice cut off unlike many LED bulbs.
