New Tires!

Recommended Posts

Ok, I need new tires for my 2018 GMC 1500 Are cab Z71 4x4.       Riding on the factory Goodyear Fortitude HT now.  265?65?R18.    Love them.  Quiet, good ride, good handling and they are Wearing well.               I would just get another set of them, but they no longer are in production.

I have a set of snows on winter wheels, so I only use these in summer.    Almost never leave the pavement with this truck.  Looking for another highway tire for sure.   But totally open an A/T because I have read that some of the newer designed ones, are as quiet and as good riding/handling as a H/T.

Anybody comment on what you have replaced yours with?       and how they compare?

Thanks Men!   Skip.

I bought Nitto 421Q's for my truck in the same size. It's a very quiet street/highway tire. A good tire in the rain and they worked awesome in the winter too but they were brand new. Put it in 4AUTO and they pulled right through any snow we had here in Minnesota. My truck is lowered as well and I didn't want an "offroad" looking tire, so this what I went with.

Hankook Dynapro's are a quiet tire and so would Michelin LTX's but the Michelin's will be a higher price for sure.

I run the Michelins on my 2018. No snow where I live but plenty of rain. Sidewalls are a little stiffer and that works well when towing my boat or trailer. That stated, it still is a nice ride on the street.
