Every time I go to plug any android device into my trucks USB c port I have to do a factory reset on my stereo to be able to use Android auto or just charge my phone...

This is certainly not what we like to hear, Garrett Payment.  Please know, customer satisfaction is extremely important to us. Our team would be more than happy to take a closer look into the concerns with your 2019 GMC Sierra. To do so, please send an email to [email protected] with ATTN: Garrett Payment/GM Trucks in the subject line.

Please include your contact information, VIN, a brief description of your concern, and the name of your preferred dealership. We look forward to hearing from you. To learn more about GM’s privacy policy, please visit https://www.gm.com/privacy-statement.html.

Did GMCustomerService help with this issue? I have had the same issue with my Silverado since it was new with no help from the dealer. I am using CarPlay and maybe 75% of the time it will connect the first time that day, but after that maybe 10%. I haven’t tried the factory reset. Tried different cables and phones with no luck.

Having a similar issue.  Have used my Google Note 10+ with my 2017 GMC Acadia Denali for 4 years with no issues.  All of a sudden over the weekend the vehicle refused to connect.  I get the following message.  Meanwhile my wife's Note 10+ still connects to Android Auto on this vehicle.  My Note 10+ still connects to Android Auto in my 2019 Corvette.  Have swapped cables for new cables.  Same phone & cables work fine when connecting phone to my PC to transfer files.  Please help.

After engaging GM and Verizon, both who tried to help, the answer was to Remove Private Data from the Infotainment system.  All other options including resetting the phone did not work.  I'm a bit surprised that GM, who tried to assist via their Connection Center, did not suggest this.
