I would have a generator mounted in the bed. My wife wanted a backup generator. While doing my research I learned the lightning could be used as a backup power source for the house. It was going pretty good until she asked the cost. She was amused.

Funny my research on the Lightening last night sparked quite a negative response from my wife! I was just reading about "range extenders".  I shared this must have option with Mrs Donstar when/if the time comes.  She shifted from polite engagement in my interests to her not so friendly lecture on how we can't afford a new vehicle.   Apparently, I passed the threshold of sounding interested to actually shopping.....

When everything settles down I’ll be test driving again. Especially electric. They’ll figure out the battery situation eventually. I remember the beginning of emissions. We endured some awful performing vehicles. I remember no sensation of speed hitting the gas. At least that’s not a problem with electrics.
