6sp automatic 19 Silverado

Has anyone gone down the path of upgrading the 6sp transmission? To solve issues of breaking due to normal use? Going to call shops tomorrow, pulled pan and had 2 table spoons worth of metal not on the magnet. 
 

is swapping for other types of transmission feasible or no go with computers and axle gearing?

Converter clutch gives up in these taking out the entire transmission. Kills the pump and everything

 

Rebuild with a billet converter. Or a Remanufactured GM with this converter.

 

I see Florida Converter does not list the 2019 so call and ask. Can't imagine it would be any different.

Only one I know of that is drop in and stock stall. 

 

Red Line D6 fluid or AMSOIL ATF and a pill flip of newest GM 70C thermostat. Use enough cooler to keep it under 180 F.

I thought that the 6 speed autos had been pretty reliable overall…?
