No key fob detected, no audio, column steering lock

Recommended Posts

Hi i’m having a big problem with my Sierra 2500 HD I’ve taken it to the dealer and they have not been able to figure it out. It happens intermittently but what is occurring is that at times my remote is unable to lock and unlock the door passively by pressing the button on the handle. However when I use the buttons on the remote it works. Also when I get into the car it says that the remote is not recognized and I have to put the remote in the pocket in order to start the car also when this is happening I cannot listen to the blinker sounds and no sound from the radio. I really need help in figuring this out. Has someone else had this happen and if so what have you found out. Thank you in advance.

I have not had this issue, and the dealer or you probably thought of this already, but the first two things I’d try is new batteries in the fobs, and making sure you aren’t getting interference from another radio device like a cell phone.
