Anyone else running the following?

 

Magnaflow

99-02 4.3L V6, 4.8L/5.3L V8, Extended Cab, Short Bed,

5x11x22" Muffler, 3" Tubing, Side Exit, 4" Tip

 

Would you go catback or just the muffler?

 

I found the catback online for like $330 and the muffler for $100

 

Any power loss? Increases?

I love my magnaflow setup. Perfect sound and I felt a little more power. I'll never use anything else

Im running that exact setup and I love it.... Didnt loose any low end and my truck pulls really hard up high... just what i was looking for.. crusing around town at like 50 you cant hear it.. at 80.. you know its there but not overly loud.. but get on it and it definetely wakes up...

Are y'all getting any resonance with this 5x11x22" Magnaflow? I mean, when compared to the factory muffler.

did you guys install it yourself? If not how much did you pay to have it installed?

 

Any pics? Did you go single or dual outlet?

Thats the one i got... looks just like that.. my brother and i did the install.. took about a hour and a half.. and most of that was getting the factory system out of the hangers... those things were a pain.. at first i was getting resonance.. but the more i drive it the more it seems to mellow out. I LOVE the sound of it...

thanks i got the install instructions from magnaflow. Looks very easy.

 

Another dumb question. What size is the stock exhaust? I measured 2 3/4" is that what it is or do they round up to 3"? Is the magnaflow exhaust 1/4" larger in diameter?

Hey Ryan, I was talking to a local muffler guy the other day, and he offered to weld that (Magnaflow) muffler in and custom bend a single pipe out the side....All for $150 OTD.

 

Just thought I would let you know before you dropped over $300 on a catback system. You might want to check with some local muffler shops.
